What could annoy an 'agent'?

The journos and the proprietors know the importance of a newspaper agent. The 'agent', one who builds the bridge between the paper and the people, can get annoyed too easily. An irate agent can spoil the prospects of a newspaper easily in small towns.

In the 70s, K.Shamarao was literally ruling the Bangalore Edition of Samyukta Karnataka. During one of his Paryaya days, an agent gets annoyed and shoots a telegram. HRN who was news editing the paper at that time was asked to investigate the matter. The telegram explains the incident on its own. Unfortunately, the P&T department's seal is not clearly visible to record the history.
