When the Bangalore Edition of SK started in 1959, it used to carry one editorial each from Hubli and Bangalore offices. HRN used to write the editorials on behalf of Bangalore Edition (the responsibility he continued from the Tayinadu office). The draft editorial used to get composed first on the gally. Those days the compositor used to fix character by character. The news editors of yesteryears reviewed the proofs atleast 3 times before the final print. And ofcourse news editors of Nagesha Rao kind were gifted with hawk's eye. The draft and the proof of the main leader for the SK editions of 14th August 1964 (written on the previous day) are exhibited here.
