10-11-1952 P.B.S. Returned from U.S. (PBS is PB Srinivasan, then editor of Tayinadu - ed.)

09-10-1955 Morning Edition started. (Till then Tayinadu was an eveninger, published six days in a week. - ed. )

26-01-1956 Republic Day - ‘ನವ ಕರ್ಣಾಟಕ’ daily released by T.S. ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ರಾವ್; Mayor presided.

02-02-1956 New Assistant for ‘ವಿಜಯಮಾಲಾ’.

03-02-1956 ಅನಂತ ಸುಬ್ಬರಾವ್ - ಕಲ್ಕತ್ತಾಗೆ.

04-02-1956 Hanumanthiah ಪಾಠ ಹೇಳಿದರಂತೆ - Fort High Schoolನಲ್ಲಿ.

09-03-1956 ಸಂಜೆ ನ್ಯೂ ಇಂಪೀರಿಯಲ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಹೆಲೆನ್ ಆಫ್ ಟ್ರಾಯ್’ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ವಾಪಸು ಬರ್ತಾ Grenlands Hotelನಲ್ಲಿ C.V.Rajagopal, Raja Rao, H.S.Narayana Rao ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ರು - Officeನ ತರಲೆಗಳ ವಿಷಯ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದಾಯ್ತು - ನಾರಾಯಣ ರಾವ್ ಕಾಫೀ ಕೊಡಿಸಿದರು - ಮೊಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ!

10-03-1956 ಇವತ್ತು ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಗಾಗಿ General Holiday - ನಮಗೆ ಆಫೀಸಿದ್ರೂ ಸಂಬಳ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಗೆಂದು ನಾಳೆಯ ದಿನ ರಜಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

18-01-1957 Management changed. Ed: RUMALE (The proprietor PR Ramayya sold the newspaper Tayinadu to the contractor MS Ramiah. Consequent to this new editor Rumale Chennabasavayya, a writer and an artist takes over - ed.)

07-02-1957 Began writing 'ನಾರದ ಉವಾಚ' (HRN was writing a popular daily column 'Narada Uvacha', commentary on the everyday happenings, which he probably stopped before the changeover in the management - ed.)

07-03-1957 'ರೈತ ಪುರವಣಿ' Block (Tayinadu must have decided to bring in a regular suppliment for farmers, the cast block for printing must have been finalized - ed.)

01-04-1957 8 ಪುಟ on six days 10 ನ.ಪೈ. & 4 pages on Mondays

03-04-1957 'ಅನುಭವ ಮಂಟಪ' written by me (Not very sure whether it was an article or a weekly column - ed.)

10-05-1957 Delhi Office in I.E.N.S. Building, Old Mill Road announced in paper

12-06-1957 B.N.G. left (Doyen of Kannada Journalism, a film distributor by profession B.N.Gupta was roped in to setup Tayinadu by M.S.Ramiah)

31-08-1957 Advt. Rates enhanced - announcement

01-09-1957 New General Manager - Mr.C.N.Aiah assumes charge

13-10-1957 Proprietor announced that decisions of wage board will be brought into force w.e.f. 01-10-1957 - announced in paper of 14-10-1957 (The first wage board for the working journalists was formed under the chairmanship of Justice Diwakia. Mysore state journalists were represented by SV Jayasheela Rao, NS Seetharama Shastri and HRN to provide information to the wage board which was stationed at Madras. The wage board recommendations were opposed by the proprietors and the court said it is not binding on them to pay the recommended wages - ed.)

15-10-1957 'ರಾಜ್ಯಾಡಳಿತದ ಆಧಾರಸ್ತಂಭಗಳು' began. (Presumably a biographical series on the ruling members of the state - ed.)

01-12-1957 Price increased from 0-1-0 to 0-1-3 or 8 n.p. in city and throughout state reduced to 8 n.p.
